What is Circle Lake Ranch?
Circle Lake Ranch is a horseback riding and horsemanship program in Katy, Texas, serving children and families since 1998. We offer year-round group riding lessons for riders ages 6 and up, with both English and Western instruction. Our program teaches more than riding: students learn horse safety, grooming, tack, horse behavior, and progressive riding skills as they develop confidence and understanding around horses.
Circle Lake Ranch's horsemanship curriculum was developed through decades of teaching riders in Katy and is now overseen by Layne Spitzenberger Kiker. Approximately 3,900 regular lesson students have participated in the program since 1998; this is an owner-derived historical estimate.

Horseback Riding Lessons in Katy
Riders ages 6 and up learn in a structured group program. Tuition is $280 per month for a weekly lesson at the same day and time, with a one-hour slot with 50 minutes of instruction.
New students complete the enrollment form so Circle Lake Ranch can review placement in the regular lesson schedule.

Structured Horsemanship Education
Circle Lake Ranch teaches students to understand and work with horses on the ground and in the saddle. The Horsemanship Learning Center introduces the same core subjects in clear educational guides for riders and families.

Summer Horse Camp in Katy, TX
The 2026 season is complete, and 2027 dates have not yet been announced. Camp dates are generally determined after Katy ISD releases its school calendar. Circle Lake Ranch has welcomed more than 3,400 summer camp registrations since 1998.
